The 2024 Abu Dhabi T10 tournament will expand to ten teams this season, welcoming new entrants Bolts Ajman and UP Nawabs. High-profile players like Rashid Khan, Jos Buttler, and Dinesh Karthik have signed on for the competition. Rashid and Karthik will play for Bangla Tigers, while Deccan Gladiators have secured Buttler, along with Marcus Stoinis. Buttler will join retained players Nicholas Pooran, Andre Russell, and Maheesh Theekshana at Gladiators. Matheesha Pathirana, a teammate of Theekshana’s from Sri Lanka, has signed with the New York Strikers.
The Strikers, the defending champions, have retained key players Kieron Pollard, Sunil Narine, Akeal Hosein, and Mohammad Amir. They have also held onto UAE players Muhammad Waseem and Muhammad Jawadullah, who previously played for Sharjah Warriors in the ILT20. Dinesh Karthik, who recently retired from international and Indian cricket, has signed up for his third franchise tournament, having also joined Legends League 2024 and SA20 2025. Additionally, he has been appointed as the batting coach and mentor for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in IPL 2025.
Shakib Al Hasan, who recently ended his T20I career, will join Karthik and Irish left-arm quick Josh Little at the Bangla Tigers. Meanwhile, Trent Boult will reunite with Finn Allen at Northern Warriors, while Lockie Ferguson has joined Team Abu Dhabi, which has also signed Jonny Bairstow and Shimron Hetmyer.

“We’re excited to deliver yet another world-class lineup at the 2024 Abu Dhabi T10, which has thrived since we brought the competition to the UAE capital,” Matt Boucher, CEO of Abu Dhabi Cricket & Sports Hub,” said in a statement. “Abu Dhabi is now a global centre for sport, and the Abu Dhabi T10 – approaching its sixth edition in the emirate – has played a significant part in making that vision of the government a reality.”
Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Adil Rashid are among the new signings for UP Nawabs, while Bolts Ajman have recruited Jimmy Neesham and Mujeeb Ur Rahman. The Abu Dhabi T10 2024 is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 2, ensuring there is no overlap with other major tournaments such as the Big Bash League (BBL), SA20, ILT20, and New Zealand’s Super Smash.
